Emily is a British journalist and documentary filmmaker. She was a former newsreader at the BBC. As the anchor for BBC two’s news and politics, She covered election coverage for BBC mostly across America, the UK, the US, and Europe from the beginning of 2000 until 2021. On February 22, 2022, Maitlis was forced to resign from BBC following an exclusive agreement in partnership with Global the parent company of LBC to start an hour-long podcast every day.
