Vitali Volodymyrovych Klitschko, professionally known as Vitali Klitschko is a Ukrainian politician and former professional boxer who has been the Kyiv’s mayor Kyiv as well as the head of Kyiv’s Kyiv City State Administration, serving in both capacities from June of 2014. He started his political career in 2006 when he was 2nd in the Kyiv mayoral election. He became the head of the party UDAR which was founded by Vitaliy Klychko.
He had a record of 45-2 before deciding to enter politics. He started out as an amateur kickboxer who was beaten by an attack into the mouth in 1992. Vitali was also active in Ukrainian politics in 2005.
He added this to his professional boxing experience until his decision to retire from boxing in the year 2013 when his first-ever professional world boxing champion with a Ph.D. in the field. Furthermore, Klitschko and his brother Wladimir announced on the 24th of February 2022 that they were going to join the arms to defend Kyiv after their participation in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
