Henry Winkler is an actor and director, comedian, writer, director, and producer. He is best known for his role as Arthur Fonzarelli on the sitcom Happy Days (1974-1984), for which he received 2 Golden Globe Awards, 3 Emmy nominations, and won 2 Golden Globe Awards.
He is also known for his roles as Arthur Himbry, Coach Klein, Barry Zuckerkorn, Barry Zuckerkorn, Barry Zuckerkorn, Barry in Arrested Development, and Fritz in Monsters at Work. He was involved in the creation of MacGyver’s original television series and worked on shows such as Sightings or The Hollywood Squares.
He was also the director of Memories of Me, a theatrical release with Billy Crystal, and Cop and a Half (with Burt Reynolds). In 2003, he drew on his dyslexia-related childhood experiences to co-write the Hank Zipzer series for children’s books along with Lin Oliver, a children’s literature writer.
They also co-created the prequel series Here’s Hank and the Ghost Buddy series. He became a reality TV star in 2016 with the NBC series Better Late Than Never.
