An arrest was made for unlawful sexual conduct on the 20th of this month for 32-year-old Samantha Lee Ciotta.
According to reports, the investigation into a California high school teacher accused of having sex with a minor is ongoing.
Samantha Lee Ciotta, 32, was brought into custody on September 20, People reports.
Charged in connection to an alleged sexual relationship with a pupil at Beaumont High School, a teacher was accused of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor as well as oral copulation with a person under the age of 18.
Ciotta was also Beaumont High School’s top cheerleader coach, according to the Los Angeles Times.
In September, police stated that they “think that there may be further victims,” and they requested anyone with knowledge to come forward with it.
There was no other information revealed about the probe. As one local newspaper reported this week, Ciotta’s arrest came about when she was caught in Snapchat footage with two shirtless youngsters while wearing only a shirt and panties.
According to documents obtained by Patch, a student who purportedly viewed the Snapchat clip in August questioned the student who posted it if “Mrs. Ciotta” was the one in the footage.
It was the student who shared the video who identified herself and boasted about their supposed sexual relationship, Patch reports.

The victim recently reported to detectives that there has been unlawful sexual intercourse occurring for the past few months by a teacher who works at the Beaumont High School,” police said in September.
More than one chat platform was used for illegal conversations between the teacher and pupil, authorities said.
During the investigation, the Beaumont Unified School District reportedly put Ciotta on administrative leave.
A police investigation is ongoing, according to Patch.
The district did not respond to a message requesting comment on Scott’s employment status on Wednesday.
Patch reported that the mother-of-two secured bail and was released the next day after her September arrest.

It was not known if Ciotta had pleaded guilty or not to the allegations leveled against her. PEOPLE’s attempts to contact her directly were unsuccessful, and Patch was unable to get her to respond to any of their questions.
Nov. 3 is the date she is due in court.
In August of 2015, when the student was 14 and a freshman at Beaumont High School, Ciotta allegedly initiated a relationship with him, Patch reports.
After filing for divorce on October 4 and receiving interim sole custody of the couple’s children, Ciotta’s husband nevertheless told the outlet that she is “a terrific mother… and that I, along with my wife’s family, are highly supportive of her.”

For three months before his arrest in September, an English instructor had been involved in an inappropriate connection with an underage student that became public after the teacher allegedly filmed himself consuming beer and “panties” with two shirtless youths, according to Patch.com.
In the meantime, Beaumont High School put her on administrative leave. As of October, Ciotta’s teaching license was revoked and her spouse filed for divorce.
According to the plea agreement, Ciotta must serve about six months in a work-release program sponsored by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department as an “alternative to incarceration”.
The patch was instructed by the district attorney’s office that she must also do 90 hours of community service and “may have no communication with any unrelated kids via any form of social media.”
According to John Hall with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, Ciotta must report by June 8 to begin her work release.
According to Hall, if she had been found guilty on the same charges to which she pleaded guilty, she might have been sentenced to four years and four months in jail.
According to court filings, a relative of the now-17-year-old kid texted the youngster in June of last year to inquire about reports about him and Ciotta. Relatives received messages that prompted her to wonder who was on the phone.
Records show that Ciotta’s spouse was allegedly using the phone belonging to the boy’s relative. The spouse sent a text message stating that he was unable to “know the full scope of what transpired.
That’s what I’m entitled to. Not that I’m enraged with [the boy]. A tiny bit isn’t even close to enough for me.”
When confronted by police, the boy initially denied having an inappropriate relationship with his teacher. Records show that the boy said, “I’m not f—-ing talking!”
However, the adolescent victim later admitted to authorities that he had at least five sexual encounters with Ciotta. He said he couldn’t recall how many times he had intercourse with her since he was always intoxicated, according to public records.
In court documents, the victim stated he “tried to cover for Ciotta so she would not get in trouble,” but stopped his silence when he found that Ciotta—after she was intercourse with the boy’s 19-year-old friend—reportedly declared her former student “had ruined her life,” according to those documents.
According to the document, “he determined to no longer lie for her.
According to records obtained by Patch, Beaumont police executed no less than seven search warrants in this case. Investigators went into the woman’s house, collected DNA from her SUV, and looked through her phone for clues.

Previously employed by the La Quinta Unified School District, Ciotta began teaching in the Beaumont Unified School District in August of that year.
Last week, the victim filed a lawsuit against Principal Christina Pierce and Vice-Principal Ian Young of the Beaumont Unified School District in which he claimed that while the abuse was taking place, his guardian and at least one other teacher reported their concerns to school officials but that nothing was done. Early this year, Pierce announced her resignation from her position.
There were several “red flags” that appeared along the road “indicating that the connection between Ms. Ciotta and our client was becoming inappropriate,” according to attorneys for the student victim.
According to Patch, “it is evident that weird things were happening where he was not going to other classes and spending practically the whole school day in her classroom.” Because of his difficult upbringing, “this is not what he needed from his high school experience,” we believe the school district failed him.
