Aden was an only child raised in Toronto by his mother, who is from Newcastle, Australia. His father Chip Young is an American broadcaster at CBC. He is also a writer and composer for children’s books. Aden was nine years old when his family moved to Australia.
While attending Galston High School, he became interested in acting and performed in several plays. He also studied acting at the Australian Theatre for Young People. Aden also played soccer and tennis, and he decided to concentrate on his acting career after matriculating in 1989.

Loene “Lo” Carmen was born in 1970 in South Australia. She is a singer-songwriter, and actress, and has had six albums released. Her 25 acting credits include Freya Olson’s portrayal in the romantic drama, The Year My Voice Broke, written and directed by John Dulgan in 1987. The story follows a man who watches his crush fall for a criminal. It was nominated and won six awards.
